It takes all of us.
For the last three years, Ethiopia has suffered from guerrilla warfare within the country. This war has had devastating effects on the Ethiopian people, their communities, and their access to education and healthcare.
Over 4 million Ethiopians are displaced, the third highest figure in sub-Saharan Africa. From November ‘21 -December ‘22, 22,000 Ethiopians were victims of sexual and gender-based violence. 90% of the victims were minors. Sexual violence left girls and women infected with STDs, including HIV and unwanted pregnancy.
A widespread mental health problem is prevalent among the population, onset by trauma from war, sexual assault, and physical harm.
Access to education and healthcare changes everything. But our work-to-end children in Ethiopia, walking anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes to get to school daily, can only start with your support. No matter how much you choose to give, 100% will directly fund building a school and rural-based health centers for those who need it most.
